Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Agronomist based in Lilongwe. The Agronomist will be responsible for conducting field research, analyzing soil and agricultural conditions, developing strategies for improving crop yield, and advising on best practices in plant nutrition and irrigation. The role involves regular interaction with farming communities and collaboration with other agricultural professionals to implement sustainable farming practices.

Qualifications

Expertise in Agriculture, focusing on crop production and farming techniques

Strong Research skills, including data collection and analysis in agricultural studies

Knowledge of Plant Nutrition and its application to enhance crop growth

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders

Experience with sustainable farming practices and technologies is an asset

A degree or diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field is required

Willingness to work on-site in Lilongwe and travel occasionally as needed.
