Overview

Lupachi is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Record, process, and maintain accurate financial transactions
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain cashbooks
  • Support budget preparation and monitor expenditure
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, or QuickBooks
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

Added Advantage

  • Part qualification in a professional accounting body (ICAM or ACCA)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or busy finance office.
