Background
PUSEPA, we are Public Service Pensioners Association in Malawi, a leading membership representing retired civil servants, with its Head Office in Lilongwe.
Position Summary
PUSEPA is seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Administrator to assist managing dally secretariat office operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing the smooth operation of our secretariat, including asset management.
- Prepare correspondence, reports and meeting minutes
- Manage office supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualification
- Diploma in Public Administration or Business Administrafion, Human Resources and any other related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in office administration, ideally within an NGO membership association or public sector environment in Malawi.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database management.
- Excelent written and verbal communication in both English and Chichewa
- High level of integrity, patience and empathy when decling with elderly persons.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision even at odd hours.
Personal Attributes
- The candidate should be between 45 – 65 years of age
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- Respectful and professional conduct when dealing with Senior Citizens.
- Knowledge of Malawi’s Public Service Pension framework is an added advantage.
