Job purpose

To provide technical support, maintain ICT systems and infrastructure, ensure efficient operation of hardware and software, and support users across the organization to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

I. Core Reconciliation & Compliance (Critical Daily Function)

  • Execute daily reconciliation of all issued motor certificates within the DMVIC platform against corresponding debit notes raised in Pure.
  • Generate and submit daily exception and compliance reports to management to flag and eliminate any exposure from un-debited certificates.

II. ICT Infrastructure & Network Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain local corporate hardware, including workstations, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitor local server performance, internet connectivity, and ensure the robust functioning of LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
  • Perform routine system updates, security patches, data backups, and provide maintenance support for CCTV and biometric access control systems.

III. User Support & Help Desk Management

  • Serve as the first line of technical support for staff across systems, troubleshooting hardware, software, corporate email, and basic network hitches.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of ICT-related incidents to minimize operational downtime and host system training for users where needed.

IV. Cybersecurity, Systems Administration & Compliance

  • Manage user access rights, password resets, and profiles across corporate business applications and enterprise databases.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain active endpoint protection, antivirus software, and firewall controls.
  • Support data protection protocols, corporate compliance frameworks, and IT internal audit engagements.

V. Asset & Vendor Management

  • Maintain an accurate, updated inventory registry of all corporate ICT equipment, assets, and software licenses.
  • Liaise with approved third-party vendors and external service providers to coordinate hardware procurement, equipment servicing, and specialized repairs.

Working relationships

Internal Relationships:

  • Accountable to the IT Manager
  • Required to liaise and work closely with the other departments as may be necessary

External Relationships:

  • Service providers

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA At, Network+, Software development, or ITIL are an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in ICT support or systems administration.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux environments, networking, and troubleshooting.
