Responsibilities or duties
Assistant Manager:
Oversee daily lodge operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Lead and motivate staff across departments
Maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
Manage reservations, bookings, and administrative tasks
Implement policies to improve efficiency
Chef:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical kitchen staff supervision.
Creativity in food preparation, presentation, and menu displays.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
Receptionist:
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and multitasking skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Diplomatic guest handling ability and computer literacy.
Stores Clerk:
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Ability to operate stock management software or basic computer skills
Receive, check, and record incoming stock and balances.
Proper stock management and Audit assistance.
Waiter/Waitress:
Excellent communication and professional customer service skills.
Hygiene maintenance and Upsell menu items in the service area.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Assistant Manager:
Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality and Tourism, or a related discipline.
Chef:
Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts, Food Preparation, or Hospitality Management from a recognized institution
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP certification is an advantage)
Ability to prepare a variety of dishes and develop new menus
Receptionist:
MSCE or equivalent
Certificate in Hospitality Management, Customer Service, or related field from a recognized institution such as TEVETA or MIT
Stores Clerk:
Certificate from a well-recognized institution in either, Supply Chain, Logistics, Hospitality, or related discipline plus MSCE.
Waiter/Waitress:
Certificate in Hospitality Management from a recognized institution such as TEVETA or MIT
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
Experience needed
Assistant Manager:
5 years experience.
Not less than 5 years Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality industry
Chef:
Proven experience as a chef or cook for at least 3 years, preferably in hotels or restaurants
Receptionist:
at least 2 years experience in front desk roles.
Stores Clerk:
Previous experience in inventory, stores management, or related hospitality support roles of at least 2 years is required
Waiter/Waitress:
2 years experience.

Knowledge of hotel management software is an advantage
