Background
The National Audit Office (NAO) is a Supreme Audit Institution established under the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi and the Public Audit Act, mandated to provide independent assurance to Parliament and the public on the prudent use and management of public resources in order to promote transparency, accountability and good governance.
The Office conducts Financial, Compliance, Forensic, Performance and Information Systems audits across Ministries, Departments and Agencies, Local Authorities, Statutory Corporations and all public institutions.
The Office is, therefore, inviting suitably qualified, competent and result-oriented individuals to apply for various vacant positions that have arisen within the National Audit Office.
Purpose of the post
To conduct IT/IS & forensic Audit
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing risk related to information technology systems, data security, and IT processes
Developing audit plans outlining the scope, objectives, and procedures for IT audits
Evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls
Verifying compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies governing IT operations and data protection
Assessing the adequacy of IT security measures
Analysing IT systems, logs, and audit trails
Performing audit tests and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of IT, Computer Science, Information Security Management Information Systems, Accountancy, Finance, Forensic Auditing or Auditing
Knowledge of computer assisted audit tools, understanding of anti-fraud statutes, evidence handling and court proceedings
Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies.

Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: bachelor degree
