Purpose of the position:
The Aviation Depot Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for the complete management of the depot fueling operations, managing the fuel storage facility and into plane activities whilst maintaining Puma Energy Operating, quality and Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) standards. He/she will delegate responsibilities to staff whilst maintaining full accountability/ responsibility and also relieve Aviation Depot Manager(s) when they go on leave.
Responsibilities or duties
- Aircraft refueling
- Driving bulk refueling vehicles (Refuellers), documentation of refueling processes including sales receipts and operating refueling equipment in line with operating procedures.
- Fuels depot operations management
- Loading and offloading of bulk fuel vehicles and accurate stock management
- Maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment at the depot
- Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) and Compliance
- Must be HSSE minded and work safely, ensuring regulatory and PUMA safety systems and rules are fully complied with.
- Product quality controls.
- Fuel sampling and documentation of quality control inspections in line with international aviation standards
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
The candidate should have the following education and experience requirements:
- TEVET Advanced Certificate -Level 3 /National Trade Test Grade 1 Certificate/ Advanced Craft Certificate in Automobile mechanics or General fitting or its equivalent, plus a Malawi Schools Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Must have a valid class CE driver’s license
- Ability to use basic computer packages, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Must be able to handle a busy customer facing environment and manage external stakeholders
