Job Overview
The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all branch operations to ensure the achievement of business targets, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high standards of customer service. The role is central to driving growth across both the microfinance and insurance business lines, managing branch staff, and representing the Group within the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead branch operations to achieve sales, revenue, and portfolio growth targets across microfinance and insurance products
- Manage, supervise, and develop branch staff through recruitment, training, performance management, and career development initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks
- Oversee customer service delivery, client retention strategies, and effective complaint resolution
- Monitor and manage branch financial performance, including budgets, expenses, and profitability
- Drive business development initiatives and strengthen client and stakeholder relationships within the branch catchment area
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting to Head Office on branch performance, operational metrics, and risk indicators
- Promote cross-selling of loan and insurance products to maximize branch revenue and customer value
- Maintain a safe, secure, and well-organized branch environment in line with operational standards
- Implement process improvements and operational efficiencies to enhance service quality and turnaround times
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Microfinance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in branch management, preferably in insurance, banking, or microfinance
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in business development and achieving operational targets
- Sound understanding of regulatory compliance in insurance and microfinance
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
- High integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
