OVERVIEW
Office World Malawi, Blantyre Branch, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Business & Tender Officer.
POSITION: BUSINESS & TENDER OFFICER (BLANTYRE BRANCH)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tender documents in line with PPDA regulations.
- Advertise procurement notices and invitations to bid.
- Organize bid openings and coordinate evaluation committees.
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with budgets.
- Negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with Malawi's procurement laws.
- Maintain records of procurement proceedings for audit and oversight.
- Build strong supplier relationships and coordinate inspections of goods/services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in procurement and tender management.
- Strong knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (2025).
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and e-tendering platforms.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
