JOB DETAILS:

Background

Vizara Plantations Limited, a rubber manufacturing company and timber production firm involved in export and local sales, situated some 10 km away from Chintheche turn off (M5 Road), invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position of Cost Accountant. The position reports to the Financial Controller.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting.
• Aged between 25 to 35 with 3–5 years of experience in a very busy Agricultural Plantations/Manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Data entry skills with MS Office at advanced levels.
• Should have management experience of at least 2 to 3 years in the same role.

Duties and Responsibilities

These shall include but not limited to:

• Control on movements of goods imported as well local
• Pricing of products
• Stock reconciliation and verification with system
• Cost sheet maintenance and stock valuation
• Monthly MIS Reports in specific formats
• Preparation of data required for board meetings
• Payroll verification
• The low value added tasks to have
• Control and stock counts
• Mill production stats
• Mill accounting
• Other stuff to work in with you and new OM
• Transporter management
• Assisting on procurement

Remunerations

Remuneration will be in line with the experience and suitability of the candidate, and two weeks’ pay annual bonus.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
