Background information about the job or company
Farming and Engineering Services Limited (FES), the leading supplier of premium brand products including Massey Ferguson tractors and generators, Baldan farm implements, Komatsu construction machinery and precision agriculture solutions has an immediate vacancy for a Cashier to be based in Blantyre.
Responsibilities or duties
Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Cashier will among other duties perform the following key tasks:
- Receipting and banking
- Allocation of payments to customers’ accounts
- Journal preparation and posting
- Reconciliation and payments of local suppliers
- Petty cash reimbursement
Qualifications or requirements
Interested applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Possession of an MSCE certificate with strong credits in Mathematics and English
- Diploma in accounting
Experience needed
- A minimum of two years hands on experience in a similar position in a busy work environment
Any other provided details
- Knowledge of Sage X3 accounting package will be an added advantage
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: associate degree
