Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for managing all monetary transactions at the point of sale. This includes billing guests for food, beverages, merchandise, and services, ensuring accuracy, and providing a friendly farewell to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Processing:

• Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile wallets.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or adjustments as per policy.
• Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the start and end of each shift.

Billing Accuracy:

• Input orders into the POS system accurately.
• Verify the identity of guests against room numbers for charge-back billing.

Guest Interaction:

• Welcome guests and assist with the checkout process.
• Answer basic questions regarding pricing and menu items.

Reconciliation:

• Prepare daily sales reports and deposit slips.
• Report any discrepancies or suspicious transactions to management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is required.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
• Honesty and integrity regarding cash handling.
• Good communication skills and a friendly personality.
