EL-SHADDAIH Christian Academy International School is an institution duly registered, approved and recognized by the Government of Malawi through the Ministry of Education and provides Nursery, primary and secondary school education using the Malawi curriculum.

Chemistry (Major) & Biology Teacher

This teacher delivers comprehensive instruction in both Chemistry and Biology, with a strong emphasis on laboratory work and scientific inquiry.

Chemistry (Major) Responsibilities

• Teach Core Chemistry Topics: Cover atomic structure, chemical bonding, the periodic table, acids and bases, rates of reaction, stoichiometry, and organic chemistry.
• Practical Chemistry: Conduct laboratory experiments (titrations, qualitative analysis, synthesis) to develop practical skills and reinforce theoretical concepts.
• Scientific Method: Teach students to make observations, record data, analyze results, and draw conclusions.
• Applications: Demonstrate chemistry's role in daily life, agriculture, industry, and medicine.
• Lab Safety: Enforce strict safety protocols in the chemistry laboratory.
• Exam Preparation: Prepare students for MSCE or Cambridge examinations in Chemistry.

Biology (Secondary) Responsibilities

• Teach Core Biology Topics: Cover cell biology, genetics, ecology, human anatomy and physiology, plant biology, and biodiversity.
• Practical Work: Conduct laboratory experiments, dissections, and field studies to reinforce concepts.
• Health Education: Teach topics on nutrition, disease, immunity, and public health (HIV/AIDS, malaria, hygiene).
• Environmental Awareness: Foster appreciation for conservation and biodiversity.
• Exam Preparation: Prepare students for MSCE or Cambridge examinations in Biology.

General Teaching Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, including hands-on laboratory work.
• Enforce strict safety protocols in the laboratory.
• Set, administer, and mark tests, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and safe classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate with parents/guardians on student progress.
