PARLIAMENT OF MALAWI
PARLIAMENTARY SERVICE COMMISSION VACANCIES
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the existing following vacant posts in the Parliamentary Service.
Responsibilities or duties,
- To ensure safety and orderliness within the Parliamentary Precincts.
- Develops and implements parliamentary security strategies, policies, and procedures,
- Ensures the safety and protection of Members of Parliament, staff, visitors, and parliamentary facilities;
- Ensure the maintenance of order and discipline during parliamentary sittings, committees, and official functiona;
- Manages ceremonial and administrative functions of the Office of the Sergeant-at-Armec
- Ensures proper custody, handling, and presentation of parliamentary symbols such as the Mace,
- Oversees access control systems for parliamentary buildings
- Develops and maintains emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and
- Coordinates responses to security incidents, threats, and emergencies
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),
A Bachelor's Degree in Security Studies or Administration or another closely related discipline, and be a retired Army Officers at the rank of Major retired Police Officers at the rank of Superintendent under the age of sixty years.
Experience needed,
Applicant should have a minimum of two (2) work years' experience overseeing security operations.

Applicants with demonstrated experience in parliamentary procedures and protocol, as well as those possessing a Master's Degree in relevant field will have an added advantage.
