Dream Financial Services Limited, a licensed deposit-taking microfinance institution, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced individual to fill the position of Compliance Officer to be based at their Lilongwe offices.

Job Purpose

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the institution operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing deposit-taking microfinance institutions.Resume writing service

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, directives, and industry standards
  • Interpret and implement relevant financial laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Develop, review, and update internal compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Liaise with regulators and ensure timely submission of statutory reports
  • Provide compliance training and awareness to staff
  • Monitor adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
  • Report compliance issues and breaches to management

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Proven experience in the financial services industry (microfinance, banking, or related sector preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of financial laws, regulations, and directives governing deposit-taking microfinance institutions
  • Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations and compliance frameworks
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills

Added Advantage

  • Professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management, or related field
  • Experience dealing with regulatory authorities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, directives, and industry standards
  • Interpret and implement relevant financial laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Develop, review, and update internal compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Liaise with regulators and ensure timely submission of statutory reports
  • Provide compliance training and awareness to staff
  • Monitor adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
