We are inviting applications from suitably qualified, detail-oriented and highly organized candidates to fill the position of Data Entry Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, complete and timely capture of loan data in the Loan Performer system, while supporting the Management Information Systems (MIS) function through report generation and resolution of system-related queries. The role is critical in ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency and effective reporting at branch level.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately capture all loan applications in the Loan Processing System promptly upon receipt and verification
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all data captured from loan application forms
- Process loan approvals and disbursements in the system in a timely manner
- Record all repayments accurately and promptly to support financial reconciliation
- Maintain and update records in Loan Performer to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Ensure all Daily Receipt Summary Sheets are recorded and properly maintained
- Verify that all loan documentation is complete, signed and approved prior to processing
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all MIS records
- Perform daily system backups and maintain backup logs, including off-site storage
- Assist in generating weekly portfolio reports and other MIS reports as required
- Respond to system-related queries from Operations staff, Loan Officers and branch outlets in a timely manner
- Report any system or data discrepancies to relevant supervisors promptly
- Record savings withdrawals accurately in the system
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Diploma or Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (knowledge of MS Access is an added advantage)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism
- Proactive, responsive and results-oriented
- Relevant experience and demonstrated competence may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
