The Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DODMA) is seeking to recruit a Driver.
Duties
The Driver will be responsible for:
- Driving and keeping the vehicle safe and adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform basic maintenance checks, report issues and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
- Plan and follow designated routes, considering factors like traffic, road conditions and time constraints
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely pickups, deliveries or arrivals
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers
- Communicate effectively with passengers or other stakeholders
- Secure the vehicle and provide protection against theft and damage
- Maintaining accurate records such as log books
- Conducting pre and post trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and identify potential issues
Personal Attributes
Candidates should possess the following personal attributes:
- Hard working
- Reliable self – starter and mature in judgement
- Honest with sober and high moral/social integrity
- Result oriented
- Smart and presentable
- Able to communicate fluently in English
- Without criminal record
- Ready to work odd hours
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
- Must have JCE or MSCE with a pass in English
- Must have a valid driving licence Code C or above
