In pursuit of its mandate, NWRA wishes to recruit energetic, highly motivated, focused, and result-oriented individuals to join its team of professionals. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacant position:
JOB TITLE: DRIVER
Department/Division: Corporate Services
Grade: NW7
Purpose of the Job
To ensure that transport and delivery services are effectively and efficiently provided with due regard to traffic regulations and time schedules.Post job free
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving vehicles as assigned.
- Ensuring that logbooks are properly maintained for each trip, including daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, and greasing.
- Ensuring that all procedures regarding reporting breakdowns or accidents are followed.
- Coordinating maintenance schedules for Road Tax, Certificate of Fitness (COF), and Insurance for vehicles and informing Administration when renewals are due.
- Performing any other duties relevant to the post as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
- Valid Class C1 Driving License backed by at least five (5) years of relevant experience in a reputable and busy organization.
- Defensive Driving Certificate and Chauffeur qualification will be an added advantage.
- Good eyesight, mental alertness, smartness, and good communication skills.
