OVERVIEW

Egypt Engineering Company (AFRO) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated candidates to fill the position of Driver. Successful candidates will be responsible for safely transporting staff, equipment, and goods while ensuring company vehicles are properly maintained and operated in accordance with road safety regulations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent.
  • Valid Class C1 Driving Licence.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' driving experience.
  • Proven ability to drive 4x4 vehicles.
  • Good knowledge of Malawi road networks and road safety regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and write basic English.
  • Physically fit and of sober habits.
  • Honest, reliable, and responsible.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and during odd hours.
  • Defensive Driving Certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance will be an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely transport company staff, equipment, and goods.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report faults.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and trip records.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
  • Comply with all road traffic rules and company transport policies.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations promptly.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of goods.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
