Job Summary
The Drone Operations Controller reports to the Operations Managers and Project Manager and is responsible for supporting the management and coordination of aviation and aerial operations within the security services division. The role ensures effective drone supervision and monitoring, compliance with contractual obligations, company standards, and client requirements, while consistently meeting customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee aerial operations across assigned projects.
- Conduct and/or supervise security surveys for prospective and existing client properties, providing recommendations to the Operations Manager or client.
- Reconcile manpower allocation against completed jobs at the end of each month.
- Administer drone operations staff leave schedules and relief procedures.
- Ensure company security procedures are implemented and adhered to across all assignments.
- Monitor and control drone usage to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain discipline within the drone operations team in collaboration with the Human Resources Office.
- Identify training needs for drone operations staff and advise the Operations Manager accordingly.
- Enhance performance by identifying and addressing areas of physical and procedural risk for clients.
- Report and rectify substandard practices or observations promptly to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
- Certificate or Diploma in Security Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in drone operations systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability and willingness to work irregular hours and under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
