ULEMU KWA ATATE PRIVATE SECONDARY SCHOOL is seeking dedicated, qualified, and passionate teachers to join its teaching team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting students' academic development, and contributing to a positive and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective, curriculum-aligned lessons in the relevant subject area.
  • Prepare teaching materials, assignments, assessments, and examinations.
  • Assess students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and assessment results.
  • Encourage active participation, critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students where necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school activities, examinations, and co-curricular programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, school leadership, and parents/guardians.
  • Uphold the school's academic, professional, disciplinary, and safeguarding standards.
  • Contribute to the overall academic success and holistic development of learners.
  • Perform other teaching-related duties assigned by school management.

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification in the subject area applied for.
  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom teaching skills.
  • Previous teaching experience is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
  • Commitment to professional conduct and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.
  • Passion for education and student development.

The ideal candidate will be a committed, patient, organized, and enthusiastic educator who can inspire students to achieve their academic potential and contribute positively to the school community.

? Location: Along Mchinji Road, 14 km from Lilongwe City, behind Chitedze Research Station.

Note: The school also has available places for both day scholars and boarders.
