Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions tenable in the Private Banking Department.
EXECUTIVE BANKER – BLANTYRE, ZOMBA, LILONGWE & MZUZU
Reporting to the Suite Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of affluent clients, deepening relationships, driving client acquisition, and providing tailored banking, investment, and lending solutions.
The role demands a strong focus on service excellence, strategic collaboration across business units, and strict adherence to compliance and risk management standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among other responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of the HNI strategy and business plan.
- Manage and grow an executive and private banking client portfolio.
- Build strong client relationships to drive retention and deepen engagement.
- Analyze customer behaviors and recommend tailored financial solutions.
- Deliver cross-border banking, investment advisory, and wealth management services.
- Work closely with Private Bankers, SME, and Corporate teams for seamless client service.
- Prepare credit applications, advise on lending, and manage annual credit reviews.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and support migration initiatives.
- Ensure that sales tracking forms are completed for capturing on a weekly basis
- Monitors routine controls in line with agreed policies and procedures to mitigate loss.
- Ensure KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance across all accounts.
- Promote digital banking channels and drive client digital adoption.
- Maintain strong risk management, compliance, and customer service standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience and knowledge in Service Centre operation activities and terminology.
- Support the development and execution of the HNI strategy and business plan.
