Role Purpose
To oversee agronomic trials, data collection, and analysis for HarvestGlow’s precision fertigation systems, ensuring evidence-based decision-making and rigorous impact measurement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Agronomic Trial Management
- Design and manage field trials comparing precision fertigation vs conventional practices.
- Establish crop calendars, fertilizer regimes, irrigation schedules, and sampling protocols.
- Monitor crop growth, phenology, pest/disease incidence, and yield performance.
Soil, Water & Nutrient Monitoring
- Conduct soil sampling and interpret soil fertility, moisture, and health indicators.
- Track nutrient application, uptake efficiency, and crop response.
- Monitor water use efficiency and irrigation effectiveness.
Data Management & Digital Tools
- Manage IoT sensors (soil moisture, flow meters, energy meters) and digital data platforms.
- Ensure accurate data collection, cleaning, storage, and quality control.
- Analyze agronomic, water, and nutrient data using statistical and analytical tools.
Learning & Knowledge Products
- Translate field data into insights, dashboards, briefs, and learning notes.
- Support development of best-practice manuals and decision-support tools.
- Contribute to publications, presentations, and stakeholder learning events.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc or MSc in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, or Agricultural Data Analytics.
- At least 3 years’ experience in field research or agronomic trials.
- Experience with digital data collection tools and basic statistical analysis.
- Strong reporting, analytical, and field coordination skills.
