SME Clinic, on behalf of its client, a leading national security and facilities management company, invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and results-driven professionals for the position of Finance & Administration Manager to be based in Blantyre.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Finance & Administration Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership in financial management, planning, control, and administration to ensure the com’s resources are efficiently managed, safeguarded, and optimally utilised in line with corporate objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management
- Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and internal controls
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management and Board financial reports
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations (PAYE, VAT, pensions, withholding tax)
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and cost control
- Supervise payroll, bank reconciliations, audits, and banking relationships
Administration & HR Oversight
- Oversee HR and administrative operations in compliance with labour laws
- Manage procurement, logistics, fleet, assets, and insurance portfolios
- Supervise administrative staff and support employee welfare programs
- Drive performance management and organizational culture initiatives
Governance, Reporting & Risk
- Support the CEO and Board with accurate financial analysis and dashboards
- Ensure full compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Champion risk management and internal control frameworks
Leadership & Capacity Building
- Mentor and develop the finance and administration team
- Promote integrity, accountability, and cross-departmental collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience in finance and administration
- Strong knowledge of Malawi tax laws, IFRS, and labour regulations
- Proven leadership, analytical, and ERP systems proficiency
