Background
Ulalo is seeking a Finance and Administration Assistant (Intern) to support the effective delivery of our financial and administrative functions as we continue to expand our impact across education, health ecosystems, thriving communities, and livelihoods.Primary & Secondary Schooling (K-12)
This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in NGO finance, compliance, and office administration within a dynamic development organization.
Key Role Focus
The role supports the Finance and Administration team in:
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing payments
- Supporting budgeting and reporting processes
- Strengthening procurement and asset management systems
- Ensuring efficient day-to-day administrative operations in line with Ulalo policies and donor requirements
Location and Reporting
Based in Mzuzu, with possible travel to project sites.
Reports to the Finance and Administration Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Recent graduates and candidates with minimum 1 year relevant experience (including internship or attachment) are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
