Job Overview
The Finance Officer will support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting records, timely reporting, and compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional with experience in finance or accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, ledgers, and journals
- Prepare periodic financial reports, statements, and assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and audit responses
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Recommend improvements to processes, internal controls, and reporting systems
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Diploma acceptable with experience)
- Minimum of 1 year relevant finance or accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills
- High integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
