Job Summary:

The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Secretariat while managing financial functions, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This position reports directly to the General Manager, who will provide guidance, oversight, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily Secretariat operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
  • Manage financial operations including bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational and financial performance and report to the General Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and statutory financial requirements.
  • Support event planning, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management.
  • Assist the General Manager in strategic planning and execution.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the General Manager on all operational and financial matters.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in operations and accounting or financial management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing teams and coordinating multi-departmental operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of ICT industry trends is an added advantage.
  • Should be a registered member of ICAM.
