OVERVIEW

Bethel Private Clinic is a newly established and trusted provider of high-quality healthcare services. We are committed to providing compassionate, reliable and patient-centred healthcare to our community.

We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate and competent General Nurse to join our team.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide quality and compassionate nursing care to patients.
  • Assess patients' health conditions and accurately record vital signs.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report any changes to the clinician.
  • Assist clinicians and other healthcare professionals during examinations, treatments and medical procedures.
  • Provide wound care, dressing and other routine nursing procedures.
  • Prepare patients for medical examinations, procedures and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date and confidential patient records.
  • Provide health education and counselling to patients and their families.
  • Support infection prevention and control measures within the clinic.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in emergency care and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and proper organization of the nursing environment.
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
  • Perform other nursing duties assigned by clinic management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a registered nurse with the relevant professional regulatory body in Malawi.
  • Valid professional registration/licence to practice.
  • Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to work in rural area

  • Well organized and responsible.
  • Compassionate and patient-centred.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Innovative and willing to learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Good team player.

Additional Notes

Contract: One (1) year but renewable based on performance.
