Background
Chambo Girls Private Secondary School was opened on 5th September, 2011. The school is located in the Northern Region along Mzuzu-Karonga M1 Road between Ekwendeni and Enukweni in Mzimba North District. Its catchment area covers all districts in Malawi.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, dedicated and hardworking persons to fill the following vacant positions of teachers tenable at Chambo Girls Private Secondary School:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be answerable to the Head Teacher through the Deputy Head Teacher (Academics) and will be expected to:
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and deliver lessons according to MoE curriculum
- Set, administer, mark tests, exams and provide timely feedback to learners
- Maintain discipline and create a conducive learning environment
- Maintain proper class registers, progress records and report cards
- Coach games, clubs and participate in school programmes
- Attend staff meetings, workshops and implement feedback from supervision
- Counsel learners and identify those with learning difficulties
- Uphold the school's rules, code of conduct and MoE policies
- Attend PTA meetings and communicate with parents on learner progress.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of Diploma/Degree in Education from a recognised institution by NCHE
- Must be Registered with Teachers Council of Malawi-TCM
- Must have a Valid Teachers License
- Must have at least 5 years' experience in similar position
- Must be between the age of 30-55 years
- Must be sober-minded and honest
- Must be willing to find accommodation around Chambo area
- Must be a self-starter
- Retired teachers have an added advantage
- Must be disciplined, self-driven and have passion for reasons
