JOB DETAILS:

Background

The Export Development Fund (EDF) is a statutory body established under the Export Development Act No. 17 of 2011. EDF’s mandate is to promote and facilitate the export of Malawian goods and services. EDF is committed to fostering a dynamic and competitive export sector that contributes significantly to the economic growth of Malawi.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological surveys and analyze data to assess mineral deposits.
• Prepare geological reports and maps.
• Advise on mining techniques and safety procedures.
• Monitor environmental impact of mining activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in geological surveying and analysis.
• Proficiency in geological software and mapping tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
