Lindian Resources Mining Ltd is expanding operations at Kangankunde Mine and as we advance through construction, commissioning, and operations, we are seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join our growing team in the following positions: –

Graduate Metallurgist (2 Positions)

Role Summary

The Graduate Metallurgist supports metallurgical operations by applying technical knowledge to monitor and improve plant performance. Assists in the design, testing, and optimization of metallurgical processes to enhance metal recovery, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and optimize metallurgical plant performance and recovery
  • Analyze production data and implement process improvements to maximize throughput and efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to metallurgical standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Conduct routine sampling, test work, and metallurgical accounting
  • Identify and troubleshoot plant performance issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Support production teams with technical metallurgical guidance
  • Compile and present metallurgical reports to management
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Assist with budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years’ relevant experience in a processing plant environment
  • Experience in Mineral Processing plants (preferred), with Milling experience as a strong advantage
  • Sound knowledge of metallurgical processes and plant optimization
  • Computer literate (MS Office and metallurgical systems)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Medically fit to work in a mining environment
  • Valid driver’s license

General Requirements (All Roles)

  • Experience in mining, construction, or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
  • Ability and prepared to work in a remote site environment with high temperatures.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • High level of accountability and integrity
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a production environment
