Job Description
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our marketing and design team to create visual content across digital and print media, helping maintain and elevate our brand identity. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate branding, marketing campaigns, and multimedia creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications Support: Assist the Business Development Manager and Marketing team in meeting the firm & overarching requirements for a broad spectrum of marketing materials, channels, and campaigns.
- Brand Identity Management: Manage, champion, and continuously develop the firm & brand and house style, ensuring a high level of consistency and visual impact across all media.
- Creative Illustration & Layout Design: Edit, manipulate, and create custom digital illustrations and graphics. Demonstrate a sharp eye for modern visual layout and aesthetics across print and digital media.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with marketing team members and internal stakeholders across all organizational levels, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Initiative & Idea Generation: Act as a creative, self-motivated, and proactive team player by contributing fresh visual ideas, pitching creative solutions, and championing personal design initiatives.
- Group-Wide & Regional Engagement: While based in Lilongwe, actively liaise and collaborate with team members across the entire regional Sparc Group footprint in various operating countries.
Key Requirements
- Good and clean layout design and illustration skills.
- Creative and enthusiastic
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Professional services experience would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to work beyond standard office hours on occasions where it is necessary to meet a deadline.
- Additional creative skills such as video editing, animation using Adobe productions.
- Detailed Portfolio to showcase your work
Qualifications
- Minimum of Advanced Diploma in graphic design or visual communications and or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
- Proficient in the use of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Digital experience desirable.
