Background

Zomba Diocese Health Commission operates under the Social Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba. Its mission is to advance the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting human life and providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner. This is achieved through participation in collaborative networks and partnerships, aligned with the needs and capacities of the communities, and in accordance with Catholic core values and principles, to ensure the delivery of the high- quality services, the Commission is seeking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals for the following vacant positions at one of its health facilities St. Robert Health Centre (Sitima).

Responsibilities

• Sweeping the ground and ensure that all debris on the ground are removed and disposed accordingly
• Ensuring that all bins allocated in different areas are emptied and that they are cleaned properly
• Cutting/ slashing grass to ensure that the environment is clean at all cost
• Landscaping and plant flowers and other related plant to maintain good looking of the premises.
• Planting daub grass and flowers around the buildings
• Watering the flowers and daub grass.
• Digging rubbish pits and Pit Latrines.
• Picking litters around the Health Centre Premises.
• Assisting artisan in specific tasks.
• Removing ashes from the incinerator
• Performing any other duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Malawi School Certificate of Education or Junior Certificate with 2 years’ experience
