Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support Pothawira Health Center in all aspects of Human Resources operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth HR workflows, effective communication, and organizational excellence. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, healthcare-oriented environment and maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process reference/background checks.
- Prepare offer letters and employment contracts
- Organize new employee orientation sessions.
- Prepare and manage onboarding materials and employee welcome kits.
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring team.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Preparation of HR reports, presentations, and metrics.
- Develop workflows and standard operating procedures for department.
- Help ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Be a resource to applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes
- Manage staff rosters, leave, and overtime authorizations in coordination with department heads.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in HR, Business or related field required.
- 4 years Human Resources experience required.
- Healthcare background preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in a wide variety of circumstances, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
