JOB DETAILS:
Background
The Ministry of Health is responsible for the provision of health services in Malawi. The Ministry is committed to improving the health and well-being of all Malawians through the provision of quality, accessible, and affordable health services. The Health Services Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of health services across the country.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of health programs and services.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of health facilities and personnel.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care.
- Ensure the efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote health and prevent diseases.
- Prepare and submit reports on health service delivery.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Services Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in health services management or public health.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Malawian health system.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in health services management or public health is required.

This is a full-time position based in Lilongwe. The Ministry of Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
