We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our growing workforce and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in recruitment activities including job advertising, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
  • Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation.
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new employees.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and staff movements.
  • Assist in payroll preparation and employee benefits administration.
  • Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in performance management processes and record keeping.
  • Provide administrative support for disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Support employee engagement and staff welfare initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports and other departmental documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and labor laws.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Resources or Administration.
  • Knowledge of Malawi labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
