Humanities Teacher

  • Integrate Content Areas: Plan and teach interdisciplinary lessons that combine history, geography, religious studies, and literature to provide a comprehensive understanding of human culture and society.
  • Develop Critical Thinking: Guide students to analyze historical events, cultural texts, and geographical data, encouraging them to consider multiple perspectives and global contexts.
  • Foster Global & Cultural Awareness: Create an inclusive classroom that accepts different perspectives and backgrounds, promoting students' social, moral, spiritual, and cultural development.
  • Assess Varied Skills: Evaluate student progress using a mix of essays, presentations, projects, and tests to assess their understanding of humanities concepts.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma in Education.
  • Registered with the Teachers Council of Malawi.
  • 2–3 years’ teaching experience at secondary school level.
  • Training/experience in Special Needs Education is an added advantage.
  • Applicants should be from the Northern Region and willing to relocate/live within school premises.

  • Teach assigned subject(s) in line with the secondary school curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, learner centred lessons.
  • Assess learner performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain accurate academic records.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Support learners’ academic, social, and personal development.
  • Participate in examinations, school programmes, meetings, and co curricular activities.
