IT Core Banking Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated & enthusiastic candidates to take up the position of IT Core Banking Officer in our IT Department.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the IT Manager – Infrastructure, the IT Core Banking Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective support, maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of the Core Banking System (CBS) and related banking applications to guarantee uninterrupted service delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for Flexcube Core Banking System
• Provide technical support for other systems as need be. These include SWIFT, MITASS, Chequepoint
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve application-related issues
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, parameter changes, and enhancements
• Support business units with CBS-related requests, including product setup, workflow adjustments, and reporting
• Document system configurations, processes, and change logs
• Participate in UAT cycles for new features, integrations, and system changes
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, change management, and audit requirements
• Liaise with vendors for incident escalation, problem resolution, and system optimization.
• Provide training and technical guidance to end-users where required.

Journalism & News Industry

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills / Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology or any related field
• CompTIA A+, or equivalent are an added advantage
• ITIL Foundation
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT administration related role in a large financial institution, telecommunications company.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting a Core Banking System
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting Flexcube
