Job Description

The IT Manager will monitor and maintain the ICT assets of the University effectively to ensure smooth operations. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the organisation’s IT strategy, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
  • Lead, supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the IT team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Plan, manage, and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, telecommunications, hardware, and software.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Establish and maintain software licensing compliance and IT asset management records.
  • Monitor and manage network security, system vulnerabilities, software updates, and patch management to minimise operational risks.
  • Oversee inventory management of IT equipment, software licences, consumables, and technology assets.

Minimum Required qualifications

  • Holder of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or ICT from a recognised university.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
