Background
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a global development network. Responsibilities
The Individual Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Conducting research and analysis on specific development issues.
- Developing reports, policy briefs, and other relevant documents.
- Providing technical advice and support to UNDP country offices and partners.
- Organizing and facilitating workshops and meetings.
- Monitoring and evaluating project activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in a relevant field such as development studies, economics, social sciences, or public administration.
- Proven experience in research, analysis, and report writing.
- Strong understanding of development issues and the work of the UN system.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
Additional Notes
This is a full-time consultancy position. The consultant will be based in Lilongwe, Malawi.
