JOB DETAILS:

Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) is a statutory body with mandate to develop, promote, encourage and control all forms of sport in the country.

Responsibilities or duties

Position function:

To evaluate internal controls, risk management and compliance processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Main duties

• Assessing and recommending for the improvement of Council’s governance processes
• Examining and evaluating adequacy and effectiveness of internal control and risk management systems
• Reviewing the Council’s compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations and statutory requirements
• Preparing Internal Audit reports and undertaking follow-up audits to assess implementation of agreed actions

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Internal Auditing/Accountancy
• Knowledge of Global Internal Auditing Standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• ICT skills

Experience needed

• 4 years internal auditing experience

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 48

Level of Education: bachelor degree
