Sparc Systems Limited

Sparc Systems Limited is seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Investment and Finance to oversee day-to-day hub Investment and Finance functions supporting our innovation and entrepreneurship programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop startup financial models, unit economics, and growth projections.
  • Support investment structuring, including convertibles, term sheets, equity scenarios, and investment readiness.
  • Track portfolio performance and apply valuation methodologies for early-stage ventures.
  • Advise founders on pricing strategies, margins, and sustainable growth economics.
  • Coordinate with Sparc Systems Limited’s finance team on compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and ecosystem partners.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in venture finance, investment analysis, corporate finance, or start-up advisory.
  • Demonstrated experience working with early-stage start-ups or investment-focused organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Tax, regulatory, and compliance environment.
  • Experience engaging with local investors, financial institutions, and funding partners.

Required Competencies

  • Strong understanding of early-stage investment models and local funding ecosystems.
  • Ability to model start-ups in key Malawian sectors such as agribusiness, fintech, and digital services.
  • Strong analytical, advisory, and stakeholder management skills.
