ABOUT THE ROLE
Ahlus Sunnah Foundation (ASF–Malawi) is a charitable educational institution committed to providing quality education through Secondary School, Islamic Studies, Hifz, Tailoring, and the ASF College of Accountancy.
ASF Educational Centre is seeking two qualified, dedicated, and results-oriented Lecturers to join their team at the ASF College of Accountancy. The successful candidates will deliver high-quality teaching and learning, prepare lectures, develop materials, assess students, provide academic guidance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programmes in Information Systems and Business Law.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, Business Law, Business Administration, Education, or a related field from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor of Accountancy with UCE
- Professional Qualification: Relevant professional qualification and TCM license
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant teaching or professional experience, preferably in a tertiary education institution
- Competencies:
- Demonstrable knowledge and competence in the relevant area of specialization
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Good computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, classroom management, and time-management skills
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to academic excellence
- Preference: Applicants should preferably be Muslims
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures in the assigned area of specialization
- Develop lesson plans, course materials, assignments, tests, and examinations
- Assess and grade students' academic work in accordance with institutional standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic and examination records
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students
- Participate in examinations, invigilation, marking, and moderation activities
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, and institutional activities
- Contribute to curriculum development, review, and improvement
- Promote a professional, supportive, and disciplined learning environment
- Comply with institutional policies, academic standards, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director or relevant authority
