Job Overview
Position: Loan Officer (Civil Servants)
Reports To: Credit Officer
The Loan Officer (Civil Servants) will be responsible for marketing and selling financial products and services to civil servants, achieving sales targets, building long-term client relationships, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Market and sell financial products and services to civil servants.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for loans, accounts, and related products.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed assigned targets.
- Conduct outreach activities, institutional visits, and product presentations within government institutions.
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new civil servant clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up on leads and loan applications to ensure timely processing and customer satisfaction.
Loan Application Support
- Assist clients in completing loan application forms and gathering required documentation.
- Ensure all applications comply with Know Your Customer (KYC), due diligence, and institutional requirements.
- Submit completed applications for processing and monitor progress until completion.
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and loan applications.
- Prepare and submit regular sales performance and pipeline reports.
- Comply with ethical sales practices, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in sales or the financial services sector is preferred.
- Knowledge of civil service payroll systems will be an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to meet sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- High levels of professionalism and integrity.
