Job Overview

Position: Loan Officer (Civil Servants)

Reports To: Credit Officer

The Loan Officer (Civil Servants) will be responsible for marketing and selling financial products and services to civil servants, achieving sales targets, building long-term client relationships, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Market and sell financial products and services to civil servants.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for loans, accounts, and related products.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed assigned targets.
  • Conduct outreach activities, institutional visits, and product presentations within government institutions.

Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new civil servant clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Follow up on leads and loan applications to ensure timely processing and customer satisfaction.

Loan Application Support

  • Assist clients in completing loan application forms and gathering required documentation.
  • Ensure all applications comply with Know Your Customer (KYC), due diligence, and institutional requirements.
  • Submit completed applications for processing and monitor progress until completion.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and loan applications.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales performance and pipeline reports.
  • Comply with ethical sales practices, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in sales or the financial services sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of civil service payroll systems will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to meet sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • High levels of professionalism and integrity.
