The service offering includes the provision of loans and financial literacy with the long-term vision of offering a full bouquet of microfinance products and services.

TCF Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to till the vacant positions tenable at its Head Office Area 4. Off-Chilambula Road, Lilongwe as detailed below:

LOAN OFFICERS

Reporting to the Branch Credit Supervisor, the Loan Officers will support lending and branch operations through loan processing, customer service, debt collection and credit monitoring. The role involves assessing loan applications, maintaining a healthy oan portfolio, ensuring timely collections, managing credit risk and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and assess loan applications and prepare loan documentation
  • Conduct credit assessments and liaise with credit bureaux
  • Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Negotiate repayment plans and support loan recovery efforts
  • Provide customer support and financial education on responsible borrowing
  • Support branch operations, reconciliations, reporting and audits
  • Maintain accurate loan records and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations
  • Prepare credit reports and assist in policy updates and staff training

Requirements:

  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration. Economics or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of lending experience in the Financial Services Sector
  • Experience in debt collection and loan restructuring
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of loan management systems and financial software
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and ability to work under pressure
