About the Company
Shayona Cement Corporation is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join its logistics team as a Logistics GPS Clerk. The role supports effective fleet monitoring and logistics coordination through GPS tracking systems.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Logistics GPS Clerk will be responsible for monitoring truck movements, tracking GPS alerts, preparing daily logistics reports, and coordinating with drivers, management, and GPS service providers to ensure smooth and efficient transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and follow up each trip from the dispatch office to the customer location and back to trip completion
- Monitor GPS alerts including stoppages, over-speeding, and power cut-offs, and report to superiors for action
- Prepare daily reports indicating the location of each truck with explanations
- Report faulty GPS devices and related issues to superiors and GPS service providers for timely resolution
- Receive and record driver reports on delays or stoppages during transit
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in GPS trucking logistics
