Responsibilities

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous mathematics instruction, developing students' problem-solving skills and logical reasoning.

• Plan and Deliver Lessons: Prepare and teach Mathematics lessons covering topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus, aligned with the national or Cambridge curriculum.
• Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Guide students in applying mathematical concepts to solve real-world and abstract problems, developing logical reasoning and critical thinking.
• Use Varied Teaching Methods: Employ a range of instructional strategies, including direct instruction, group work, hands-on activities, and technology, to cater to different learning styles.
• Assess Student Progress: Set, administer, and mark tests and examinations, providing constructive feedback and preparing students for external assessments (e.g., MSCE, Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level).
• Build Strong Foundations: Ensure students master fundamental concepts before progressing to more advanced topics.
• Promote Numeracy: Foster a positive attitude towards Mathematics and demonstrate its relevance in daily life and future careers.
• Support Struggling Students: Identify students who require additional support and implement intervention strategies to help them catch up.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Education or related field
• At least 3 years of teaching experience
