The position of a Medical Director is very vital to ABC Mission Hospital and requires the highest level of integrity, compassion, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Medical Leadership: Provide strategic medical leadership, vision, and direction to the medical team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Clinical Oversight: Oversee the clinical operations, including but not limited to patient care, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical protocols.
• Physician Management: Collaborate with the HR Manager in recruiting, training, and managing a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical services, implement continuous improvement initiatives and develop quality assurance programs.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership in the development and execution of medical strategies that align with the organization’s long-term vision.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all medical practices, policies, and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting agency standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution with 8 years of clinical experience and minimum 5 years in leadership role in a hospital setting.
• Postgraduate specialization in related field is an added advantage.
• Must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and mission-driven service.
• Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients and feel at ease.

Remuneration

A competitive package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
