We operate a modern quarry and plant facility supplying high-quality Cement to the Malawian market and beyond. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position: –

MINES – MANGOCHI

Job Description:

Planning daily works and supervising staff & machines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily mining activities (drilling, blasting, hauling, and excavation)
  • Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor production targets and implement strategies to improve productivity
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Lead, train, and motivate mining crew members
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of mining equipment
  • Report operational progress, incidents, and challenges to management
  • Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and other departments
  • Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
  • Valid blasting licence
  • Proven experience in mining operations
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of mining methods and equipment
  • Understanding of safety standards and mining regulations
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in remote and physically demanding environments
  • Minimum of 5 years experience.
