About GoodVision Malawi:
GoodVision Malawi is a well-established eye care organization working to expand access to quality and affordable eye care services across Malawi. We work closely with government institutions, hospitals, schools, and partners to deliver sustainable and impactful eye health programs nationwide.
Position Purpose:
The National Project Manager will provide overall national leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of GoodVision Malawi’s eye care programs, ensuring effective implementation, quality service delivery, and measurable impact across all regions.
Key Missions and Responsibilities (Summary):
- Provide national leadership and coordination of eye care programs.
- Lead planning and implementation of school screenings, outreach camps, optical services, referrals, and hospital collaborations.
- Oversee national operations, logistics, supply chains, and fleet utilization.
- Supervise and support Regional Coordinators and program teams.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with government, hospitals, donors, and stakeholders.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting.
- Contribute to national planning, budgeting, and sustainable program growth.
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality and compliance.
- Promote safeguarding, safety, and policy compliance.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field (required).
- Additional professional training, certification, or experience within the health sector will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience at management level.
- Experience managing national or regional projects.
- Experience working in the health sector, preferably eye health.
- Experience collaborating with hospitals and health facilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Malawi.
